British Gold Coins
Although most British gold coins are not pure gold in the sense that Krugerrands, the Maple Leaf etc are, they still have a gold component that gives them an intrinsic value, which is often increased by a rarity factor. This rarity factor depends on things like the number of those specific coins minted, the age of the coin and any particular history associated with the minting of that coin.
